Why do you compare yourself with others?
I am sure you have compared yourself with someone with extraordinary success and felt awfulness for your mere existence.
But you already know you shouldn’t compare your situation with others, because it is immensely different.
When you compare yourself with someone else, you just think about the current situation, but there is much more complexity.
All the work and effort that it took for someone to get success isn't being considered. And there are plenty of other circumstances which are not being taken account.
For example, you have surely compared yourself with some professional athlete who has supercars and women and everything you ever wanted.
But did you think about the pain he feels in his muscles and in the entirety of his body every time he trains.
Did you think that the fact of being an athlete makes his career shorter than what you could achieve with decades of hard work and dedication?
Comparison will only make you feel worse, it doesn’t help you progress, and it is a waste of your time.
And sometimes you compare yourself with others without being aware of it. Scrolling through social media causes you to compare with others constantly and unconsciously.
But I am sure you already are aware of the fact that social media is all fake, you can’t compare with the aesthetic physiques you see on Instagram, because the took thousands pictures to get the perfect one and the lighting is intentionally set to get a maximized look.
So get rid of this bad habit of comparing yourself with others, because it is absurd.
Keep working hard on your dreams and get away of the distractions.
