There is no tomorrow

Start now.

How many times have you fooled yourself? How many times have you said you would start working hard and stop wasting your time?

You set your goals, and you know which actions you have to take to get closer to these goals but you keep procrastinating and postponing your work.

“I’ll start Monday, I’ll start next week, I’ll start next month, next year….”

You just mentally masturbate and daydream about what you could achieve but you are never actually doing anything. You never take action, you hit the snooze button to keep dreaming instead of making your dreams a reality.

And postponing will only make you worse, it will make you regress because time is moving forward no matter what while you are still afraid embarrassing yourself.

Stop postponing and just do because there is no tomorrow. Start today, start now, just start and cut the bullshit.

In a recent episode of Huberman Lab, a podcast hosted by the neuroscientist Andrew Huberman he invited David Goggins and they talked about many things mainly about how building discipline.

Huberman talked about a region of the brain named the anterior mid-Cingular cortex, it was discovered recently that this region grows bigger when we do things we don’t like. But on the other side it also gets smaller when we don’t force ourselves to do those things we don’t like to do but we should. It was found that this region of the brain was smaller in obese people and larger in athletes.

So this adds more reason to why you should start now and stop postponing because by doing this you get weaker, you must just start right now.
